Hygiene in Water-Bearing Technical Systems
In the interest of public health protection and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and technical standards, water-bearing technical systems must undergo hygienic assessment. To evaluate potential infection risks posed by pathogenic microorganisms and to identify hygiene-related vulnerabilities, we conduct, among other measures, microbiological analyses. Preventive testing for the presence of Legionella in central drinking water heating and distribution systems in public facilities is of particular importance.
During a telephone consultation or an on-site visit, we determine the appropriate scope of testing, including sampling and analysis, for the specific water-bearing technical system.
On the basis of the data collected, the analytical results, and our extensive experience, we evaluate potential infection risks, determine required actions, recommend appropriate measures, identify technical deficiencies, and develop remediation strategies.
We support you in implementing the requirements set forth by applicable laws, regulations, and generally recognized rules of technology. These include, for example, the German Infection Protection Act (IfSG), the German Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV), DVGW technical worksheets, VDI guidelines, recommendations issued by the German Environment Agency (UBA), and LANUK technical bulletins.
Our Services
We conduct analyses of cold and hot drinking water within building water supply systems in compliance with the German Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV).
We conduct hygienic testing of emergency eyewash stations and body shower systems.
We conduct hygienic analyses of water from dental treatment units, ear irrigation systems, and other medical devices.
We conduct analyses of water from deionized water (DI) systems and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.
We conduct analyses of water from mains-connected water dispensers and drinking fountains.
We conduct analyses of service water from industrial process water systems.
We conduct analyses of water from fountains and other aerosol-generating water systems.
We perform microbiological analyses of surfaces and of water-bearing technical devices, apparatus, and systems in manufacturing facilities.
We provide support to other departments in conducting investigations of water supply systems in compliance with the German Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV).
